Mission Statement
Our mission is “to pursue excellence in the provision of care for older people who are mentally frail” and it is our objective at Dalemead that residents shall live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment, and be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities. Staff will be responsive to the individual needs of residents and will provide the appropriate degree of care to assure the highest possible quality of life within Dalemead.
It is our objective at Dalemead to provide care to all residents to a standard of excellence which embraces fundamental principles of Good Care Practice, and that this may be witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality care in the Home.
Aims of the Home
To provide personal care to mentally frail older people, of both sexes, over the age of 65 who because of mental incapacities require help with daily living. However, most of our residents are in their 80’s and some in their 90’s.
Our mission is “to pursue excellence in the provision of care for older people who are mentally frail” and our aims are to foster an atmosphere of care and support which both enables and encourages our residents to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible with rules and regulations being kept to a minimum.

Dalemead is committed to providing quality services for residents by caring competent well-trained staff in a homely atmosphere.
This will be achieved by:
• Staff development programme.
• Recruitment of staff who share our values and will create a homely atmosphere
• Providing such resources as may be required to ensure that training takes place
